School Council

School Council Meeting

The next School Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13th
at 7 pm in the school library. To begin, there will be two information
sessions. Session A ( 7:00 - 7:30pm ) will be on Co-op program and how
your student can participate. Session B ( 7:30 - 8:00pm ) will be on
the French language programs at OTHS.

The regular meeting will follow and will include *elections* for the
Executive: Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary.

You are welcome to attend any or all of the evening. Come and learn
about your child's school!

School Council Elections

Elections for the School Council for 2009-2010 year will be held at the
next meeting, Tuesday October 13th , 8 pm in the school library, after
the two info sessions.
You can vote for Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary.

Nominations for these positions will be accepted in writing at the
office, until 2:45 pm October 13th , or in person at the meeting
itself. You may nominate yourself or someone else, with their permission.

All parents and guardians of OTHS students are allowed to vote.

Please come out and participate – School Council represents the
interests of all students and their families at OTHS.

STAR Program

OTHS has now begun its new school-wide Share The Act of Reading (STAR) program, where all students and staff participate in an extra weekly reading session in classes on Wednesdays.

Donations of magazines and other suitable reading materials will be welcomed at the office to support the new STAR program.
